Su Ruogu, a female doctor at Nanjing Medical Center, persisted in saving lives and healing the wounded during the war. She encounters the injured Kuomintang officer Shen Tingzhou, and Ruogu treats him regardless of the risk. Tingzhou was moved by Ruogu's kindness and secretly protected the medical center. The two supported each other in the war, Ruogu rescued the wounded, and Tingzhou fought against the foreign enemies.
