Cold Wave Returns: My Countdown to Doomsday
Ice, ice to the bone.
The last feeling was the muffled sound of the ice breaking on his back as he was pushed down the ice abyss, and the dirty slush mixed with rust and dust that filled his mouth and froze his breath. Outside the window was the lazy and almost stagnant afternoon sunlight, which filtered through the gaps in the leaves and cast dappled light spots on the steering wheel. Gao Han opened his eyes suddenly.
The pupils contracted violently and slowly returned to focus. He turned his head stiffly and inch by inch, looking at the cell phone thrown on the passenger seat.
