The story takes place in an international metropolis called "Mirror City". One morning, a huge translucent "dome" that cannot be penetrated by scientific instruments quietly descends, completely isolating the entire city from the outside world. Within the dome, all modern communications and network signals fail, and the city becomes an information island.
