The 1985 Shopkeeper Becomes a Business Tycoon in Ancient Times

Su He transmigrates into the proprietress of a snack shop in the 1980s, only to open her eyes to a looming bankruptcy.

She rolls up her sleeves and uses her modern private-chef skills and central-kitchen experience to turn the shabby little shop into a culinary legend.

Self-heating spicy hot pot and ready-to-eat crispy pork become all the rage across the city, and the head chef of a state-run restaurant calls them a "revolution in the food industry."

Then she opens the carved wooden door to the back courtyard...

And finds the ancient Great Ye Dynasty on the other side.

An imperial chef's heir begs her to take him as an apprentice, while the Empress Dowager makes a secret visit just to try a bite of cake.

And the cold-faced prince who keeps stopping by presses her against the kitchen wall, eyes red: "Boss Su, could your shop... open up a place in my heart too?"

Looking at the packed crowds on both sides and the ancient and modern customers clamoring to be fed, Su He finds herself facing a sweet dilemma: Which side should I take public first, my culinary empire?
