I Want to Dress You in a Black Wedding Dress Just Once

“Welcome to the World of Black Wedding Dresses”

The unusual girl Chen Liangxi and the dreamy boy Li Qingran

Dust has caked her body, and her heart has long since shattered. She once fell for a boy, but the gap between their real lives made it impossible for her to confess her feelings.

Growing up, she imagined doing work she loved, meeting people who were easy to get along with, and having a rich, handsome man by her side who understood her. She pictured herself as a chosen one blessed with twice the luck. All of that came true only on paper. How cruel reality can be.

Family circumstances made Chen Liangxi a girl of few words. She envied girls who were loved by their parents and seemed to have all the good luck. Even when they faced setbacks, they could handle them calmly. At school, her timidity and people-pleasing nature left her suffering one grievance and hurt after another. She wanted to fight back, but she was too weak. Fortunately, she had her closest friend, Qiao Suomeng. She was my best school companion, always bringing me a warm light and filling my world with love.

Chen Liangxi will never give herself up for love, nor force anyone to be with her just because she cannot have what she wants. She is a girl who dares to love and hate, who is upright and takes responsibility. She is a free bird, longing for a love as boundless as the sky, where she can fly and make a fuss, and remain a free bird in her next life too.

Everything here is drawn from Chen Liangxi's true feelings, written in her own words.
