Passing Down the Torch

It was once a glorious world where countless races stood side by side and immortals and gods coexisted. But after the ancient Cataclysm of Gods and Demons, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth gradually grew thin, ushering in the Age of Declining Dharma. The lineages of immortals and gods were severed, and powerful races fell into decline or went into hiding. Humanity was no longer the protagonist of the world. Oppressed by powerful races such as the demons, devils, and barbarians, humans were confined to the barren Nine Regions of the Central Plains, enslaved and kept like lambs, even offered up as sacrifices. Humanity itself was also divided into countless petty kingdoms and sects, warring among themselves and barely clinging to survival.
