My Research Subject Is a Movie Emperor

[Reunion after a long separation × face-blind female student × blind Best Actor] To complete her research project, psychology master's student Tong Hua infiltrates the entertainment industry as an extra. Her subject is Jiang Yan, a legendary Best Actor who has returned after retiring from the screen. She doesn't know that the blind young man at a Swiss rehabilitation clinic three years ago, who asked her whether actors ever confuse acting with reality, is the radiant man standing before her now. He doesn't know that the girl who kept him company with her voice and warmth when he lost his sight due to psychological trauma, helping him find an “anchor,” is now wearing heavy makeup and playing a dancing girl trying to assassinate him in a palace banquet scene. He remembers everything about her: her voice, her scent, the warmth of her fingertips. The only thing he never saw was her face. She remembers his question, but can't recognize the dazzling man onstage. She mistakenly believes he has a girlfriend, and to stay true to her principles as a researcher, keeps herself safely within the boundaries of an observer. He has already fallen deeply in love with her, but finds he can't get any closer. Until a scene plunges him back into darkness. The indistinct figure from the rehabilitation clinic three years ago and the face before him finally become one and the same. “Shu?” “Faye?” It turns out the deepest bonds never need to be confirmed by sight. He can't see what she looks like, yet deep in his soul, he has recognized her a thousand times over.
