After everything ended, Bai Jiuyuan followed her senses to the world of Seer. When they entered that world, they encountered its consciousness.
It asked us what we were there for. I told it, "I want to enter the world and find the fragments of my family's souls."
It agreed to my request, but it also made a request of us: it hoped I could help change the world's fate.
Hearing this, I understood. It knew I existed. I accepted the task.
But it also knew our power was "somewhat" too great for a world in this dimension, so only one person could enter, with three-fifths of their power sealed.
Bai Jiuyuan had a sudden flash of inspiration and blurted out without thinking, "How about we merge our powers into one body?"
Mo agreed without hesitation.
Bai Jiuyuan paused. "Then you make the body, and I'll be the partially dominant consciousness. So, one body and two souls?"
"Sure."
