The Celestial Dome

This world is both a cage and a ladder.

In the year 4770, humanity lives in countless overlapping "tiered worlds." No one knows how many tiers there are. They only know that

-the higher you climb, the richer the spiritual energy, like in a divine kingdom; the lower you go, the scarcer the energy, like in a wasteland.

Each tier is a complete world, isolated from the others, but occasionally forced into contact by "tier rifts." Strange beasts, treasures, or unknown civilizations from other tiers may pour through these rifts. Humanity has established the "Boundary Guardians," an organization whose members have protected their own tier for generations, resisting invasions and incursions from above and below.

-Above the boundary, is it a divine kingdom or hell?

-Below the boundary, is it home or a prison?

-And the boy standing at the center of all the boundaries will strive to rise ever higher, with a mortal body standing shoulder to shoulder with the gods,

and probe the ultimate truth of this world of overlapping tiers!
