Synopsis

The main pairing is Shen Nianqing and Satoru Gojo!!!

Sakurai Yuzaka is not the heroine! (I’m putting this up front so you don’t get it wrong.)

The buildup is a little long, so impatient readers can skip straight to Chapter 16. The timeline may not be exactly the same as the original, but it’s mostly similar! If you’re the type to nitpick, feel free to move along.

The whole book is told in chronological order, but there are flashbacks, so it may be a bit long. There’s a little angst, but don’t worry, it’s a happy ending! There will also be some fights and new characters later on, so if that’s not your thing, run for it!

That midsummer, cursed energy and sweltering heat made time feel thick and endless.

A moon entered his world, where he had always been “the one and only.”

It was only natural that he fell in love. For the first time, the boy crossed the limits of everything he knew about strength, awkwardly drawing closer, little by little.

His bold affection entwined itself with that bitter summer. The Rainbow Dragon flew, moonlight flowed, and the shadows of four companions stretched long across the ground.

He thought those days would last forever, like “Infinity.”

Until the confession beneath the cherry tree was cut short by a ringing phone, and his best friend’s silhouette disappeared at the end of the street.

All he received was news of her death, that “not a trace of her remained.”

Only then did he understand:

Though so many roads met at that intersection, theirs was the one path that never joined.

Even the gods must have been jealous, right?

They tore them apart, leaving each to bear the eternal shackles called “loss.”

That midsummer, there was moonlight.

Moonlight fell upon bloodstains, and summer came to an abrupt end.

Then, nine years later, a “near-special-grade” girl appeared. The wheels of fate began turning once more.

Satoru Gojo told himself:

I’ve got her.

Don’t let go again.

Don’t lose her again.
