Uncle Tu regrets late: Ember fire cannot warm Li
The first time Pei Jinze regretted it was in the third year after Mo Li left.
That day he cleaned out the study and found a dusty rabbit doll. It was the same rabbit that Mo Li held in his arms when he asked him with red eyes, "Uncle, am I really annoying?"
Only then did he remember that at the birthday banquet, when she was angrily scolded by him as an "accessory", the gauze on her elbow was still bleeding with blood; that when she was so feverish that she fell into coma, but he turned around to pick up Su Wan, her eyes on his back were as cold as the snow on a winter night; that when she left dragging her suitcase, her steps were as light as if she had never stopped in this old house.
Later, Su Wan's plan was exposed, and he kicked people out of Pei's house, but frantically searched for her all over the world.
But when Mo Li came back, his eyes had long lost half of the heat they had when they were young girls. She raised a glass to him with a decent yet distant smile, and called him "Mr. Pei". She never called him "Uncle" again, which made him dream back in the middle of the night, and he was so painful that he suffocated.
The belated awakening was as cold as frost, and he personally extinguished the only light that was willing to shine for him. Now he is pursuing his wife at his own fault, every step of the way is ruined, and there is no way back.

It was so exciting, the plot twists were completely unpredictable, and it made my heart ache.
