This story takes place in one of countless parallel worlds. Everything is fictional, so please do not associate it with reality.
The “Fusang Country” is an island civilization made up of three major cities: Sakura City, Iron Curtain City, and Shensleep Town. Its people venerate strength and expansion to an extreme. Their tiny territory and scarce resources have given rise to acute survival anxiety. To seize more living space, Fusang secretly pursued two forbidden research projects:
“Divine Corpse” virus: Intended to create biological weapons, but the test subjects escaped.
“Abyss” nuclear power project: An illegal nuclear reactor was built in the deep sea to power war machines, leading to a serious leak.
Catalyst: The domestic drug “Elysium Powder” became widespread. Its chemical components interacted with nuclear radiation and the virus, becoming a terrifying catalyst for biological mutations.
These three factors combined to trigger targeted, high-speed biological mutations across the globe, unleashing a beast tide. Fusang was hit first. Its three city-states fell almost overnight, and the disaster spread across the world.
Technological Remnants: Mutants fused with machinery and abandoned weapons, such as Armored Kappa and Suicide Nuclear Bats.
Night Parade of a Hundred Demons: Influenced by traditional culture, mutants took on the features of “yokai.” For example, giant spiders became Jorogumo; multi-headed snakes became Yamata no Orochi; mutated crows became Tengu.
Monsters Spreading Worldwide: Organisms in other countries mutated through contamination, but their origins all trace back to Fusang.
