From the nanny’s daughter to the Su family’s heiress, and then to the wife of the Gu family’s powerful head.
It’s something no one else would even dare dream of.
Yet all of it happens to Su Qi in just three days.
They say Gu Jinheng is cool and distinguished, ruthless in business, and always puts profit first.
Su Qi doesn’t care whom she marries.
The man she loved was a mess, and an arranged marriage could at least let her keep the only job she had.
The day after their wedding, Gu Jinheng flew overseas and didn’t return for three years.
For those three years, the two of them were practically strangers.
They meet again at the police station.
Gu Jinheng says, “Let’s go home.”
For the first time, Su Qi takes a good look at the husband she married for business reasons.
She thought they were simply an unfamiliar couple making a life together.
But Su Qi finds that things never go the way she expects.
When the Su family gives her a hard time, Gu Jinheng stands up for her.
When her ex deliberately tries to humiliate her, Gu Jinheng turns the tables on him.
When no one remembers her birthday, Gu Jinheng celebrates it with her.
One day after they’re married, Su Qi remembers how Gu Jinheng had passed her a throat lozenge and served her food in front of everyone that day, and she gets so angry she bristles.
“We agreed that while our companies are working together, we wouldn’t let people know about our relationship.”
Gu Jinheng pulls her into his arms and gently soothes her, then casually brings up something from the past.
“I heard you went on three blind dates in the past three years.”
His warm breath brushes her neck, brimming with possessiveness. Su Qi curls up in his arms and doesn’t say another word.
Gu Jinheng gently pinches her earlobe and murmurs coaxingly, “Tell me, who was trying to steal you away from me?”
It's good-looking, the heroine is positive and doesn't depend on anyone.
The narrative in the first chapter is a bit confusing at the beginning, but the rest is okay and can be encouraged.
