In her previous life, Su Yan married the Shi family's second son, Shi Minghui. Before the wedding, she caught him fooling around with his widowed sister-in-law, Tang Mei, but Su Yan swallowed her anger and chose to keep the peace.
After she became pregnant, Tang Mei schemed against her. Su Yan not only lost the baby, but was also left unable to have children.
She spent her whole life working like an ox and a horse for the Shi family, raising the son Shi Minghui had with Tang Mei. When she learned the truth, she was so furious she died on the spot.
Reborn three days before her wedding, Su Yan swore to cut ties with the cheating man and his shameless mistress for good. She brought people along to catch them in the act and called off the engagement.
But...
Why had Shi Mingyuan, the Shi family's eldest son, who was supposed to be dead, suddenly come back from the grave?
Shi Mingyuan: “Back from the grave? I never died in the first place. Woman! Your broken engagement has caught my attention. Marry me!”
