Chronicles of the Timeworn: The Future Reboot

In the near future, a space-time anomaly known as a “Time Wraith” is quietly eroding reality. These entities have no physical form. Like viruses, they “tear apart” the timelines of their targets, whether people or places, trapping them in an eternal “wrong moment.” Only a few people, known as “Weavers,” can perceive and travel between these fragments of time. By correcting the core “temporal paradox points,” they can repair reality. Lin Xiaoshi, 20, was once a gifted physics student, introverted and poor at socializing. After a laboratory accident left her the sole survivor, she unexpectedly awakened as a Weaver. She can see the “threads” of time and has a faint ability to foresee the future. Chen Qi, 28, was an elite member of a special operations unit. After a failed Time Wraith rescue mission left his right arm partly “frozen in time,” unable to feel anything or be damaged, he was forced to retire. Experienced and highly skilled in combat, he becomes Xiaoshi's field mentor and protector. Aila, a disembodied entity, is an ancient advanced AI living in a data stream. She claims to be a remnant of the previous civilization's struggle against the Time Wraiths. As the Weavers' guide, she provides information and analysis, but seems to have a deeper purpose hidden away. When a laboratory explosion traps time at the blast site in a loop, Lin Xiaoshi is caught inside. At the brink of life and death, she sees flowing blue threads of time and the twisted Time Wraiths for the first time. Acting on instinct, she snaps a vital thread, breaks the loop, and becomes the sole survivor...
