Trainee reporter Chen You investigates the serial disappearances and discovers that the victims have all been photographed in the same photo studio. She sneaks in disguised as a customer, and unexpectedly encounters a photographer using a camera to "steal faces" - the moment the shutter is pressed, the customer's face turns into a shadow on the film, and the person becomes expressionless, like a puppet. The photographer admitted that he stole faces to fill the void left after his wife died of illness. Each face carries different emotions. Instead of calling the police, Chen You persuaded him to return the face. When the last face returned to the owner's face, the photographer's camera turned into dust.
