Radiant Upon My Return

[A resilient, independent lawyer vs. a scheming, sharp-tongued heir + two equally strong leads + rekindled love]

When Fu Jing was at university, Shen Mingqian fell in love with her at first sight and began pursuing her.

After he pursued her time and again, Fu Jing fell for him too, and they got together.

After graduation, Shen Mingqian wanted to marry Fu Jing, so he took her to meet his parents. But his parents thought the gap between them was too great and offered her money to break up with him.

Fu Jing accepted. An opportunity like this was hard to come by, so she broke up with Shen Mingqian and went abroad to study with the money.

Three years later, Fu Jing returned.

Shen Mingqian looked at her and said, “You heartless woman! Why are you back? Hoping I’ll forgive you? Wanting us to get back together?”

“Fu Jing, don’t even think about it!”

Shen Mingqian certainly wasn’t going to forgive her easily, but when he heard she had a boyfriend, he panicked.

He found Fu Jing and asked, “You have a boyfriend? Who is he?”

Fu Jing looked unconcerned and smiled. “Mr. Shen said he didn’t want to see me, didn’t he? What does me having a boyfriend have to do with you?”

Shen Mingqian was beside himself. He gave in and asked, “Come on, tell me! Who is he?”

A smile played at the corner of Fu Jing’s eye. “Well, I’m not sure yet whether he’ll agree to be my boyfriend.”

“Shen Mingqian, would you?”

Shen Mingqian was dumbfounded. “What do you mean?”

Fu Jing repeated herself. “Would you? Be my boyfriend.”

Shen Mingqian laughed in exasperation. “So this is what you were leading up to.”

“You wicked woman!”
