[No System] [No Harem] [No Brain-Dead Decisions] [Ensemble Cast]
Note: Volume One centers on an expedition into Kunlun. If you'd rather jump straight into the heart of the xianxia story, you can start with Volume Two. You can treat Volume One as a side story, and doing so will not significantly affect the continuity of the overall plot.
The actual synopsis begins below:
Darkness is closing in.
As the black tide of the Nine Hells swallows the mortal world and the flames of wickedness consume the heavens, humanity stands at the edge of a cliff. The game has long been lost; one wrong move means eternal ruin.
Li Ping'an, eighteen years old, has only a diagnosis left to his name.
To stay alive, he enters Kunlun and ventures into Guixu. After surviving by the skin of his teeth, he is reborn on this land, crushed and remade by fate.
He becomes Li Qingyun, heir to the Three Pure Ones' Daoist lineage, and the sole variable capable of breaking the deadlock.
But the world is vast. One person cannot save it all.
Beneath the same shadow stand two other youths.
One carries Confucian scriptures and a brush, determined to give the world a heart and support the backbone of civilization amid its ruin.
The other rolls Buddhist prayer beads between his fingers. Though he knows all living beings suffer, he is still willing to save them at the cost of himself, preserving a patch of clarity amid the flames of sin.
Three people, three beliefs, three paths.
Like him, they refuse to be pawns. They choose to take up the pieces and strike back at Heaven and Earth.
Amid blood and fire, the youths draw their swords, ignite their hearts, and break the deadlock.
They have only one goal: drive the apocalypse back and reclaim the light.
Take up the pieces, break the deadlock, and be reborn.
And the story begins...
with a strange dream no one can explain.
The first volume of this work takes the exploration of the Kunlun secret realm as a guide and lays out the origin of the protagonist's journey to another world. If you are not interested in this previous relationship, you can jump right into the second volume and get to the core chapter of the Xianxia world. This volume can be regarded as an independent extra chapter. Even if it is skipped, it will not damage the integrity and coherence of the subsequent main line.
Come, the author read with me, and I solemnly swear: starting from today, I will never update. I will not watch dramas, travel, or get sick. I will play no games, no hydrology. Strict self-discipline, cherishing time like gold, perseverance, hard work, advocating first-class, striving for brilliance, taking pleasure in coding, being tempered into steel, and worthy of readers, worthy of youth, and worthy of the future. As an author, I solemnly declare: I firmly believe that I am an excellent author. Coding is my bounden duty. I have unlimited potential and am not afraid of hardship! I can code words diligently. I am a keyboard in the dark and a guard on the Great Wall of Internet. I voluntarily dedicate my life to code words every day and every night.
This book is really a rare good book for Tomato. It is not a mindless and refreshing article. It has smooth logic and you can feel between the lines that the author really wants to tell a story seriously, and he still insists on updating it with so little traffic. The author is really great!!!
The writing is excellent, and it is definitely top-notch among Tomato novels. The narrative is smooth and delicate, the characters are vividly drawn, and the emotional foreshadowing and rhythm control are in place. The first volume is more like a well-designed adventure chapter, with a tight plot and full of suspense, which makes people want to read it. The author not only wrote the world before the time travel in a realistic and credible way, but also laid down many intriguing foreshadowings, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development. The whole game has a sense of immersion and the excitement of exploring the unknown, making it well worth pursuing.
I strongly recommend that everyone read the story in the first volume. I didn't expect that a book written in the style of a fairy tale could write such a suspense adventure theme. The whole process is high-energy and full of tears. The most rare thing is that the causal line of crossing is actually clearly explained. I have only seen this kind of logical closed loop in "Shading the Sky" before! Not to mention the second volume. The writing and story in the beginning are comparable to Jianlai, but it is a bit heavy. When it comes to Sanqingguan, it becomes light again, especially Senior Sister Xuan Yue, who is both salty and sweet. It is really interesting!!! Now I just hope that the author will stabilize and don't end it! If the quality continues, this book will definitely be a treasure unearthed this year! Highly recommended! Highly recommended! Highly recommended!
🌟 The more you look at it, the more you get excited! A must-read book with comfortable writing and vivid characters🌟I don't know why no one has read it. Is it because Tomato didn't give it traffic? This book gives people a very comfortable reading experience. The author's characterization of the characters and environment is particularly excellent. The environment is fairy-like. Each character is flesh-and-blood and has a distinct personality, which makes people want to keep following it.
It is not good for a gentleman to live under a dangerous wall. When Li Ping'an first went to look for Mustard Seed Village, I felt that he was too easy to get to know the people he met on the road, which was not good, but later on he became more mature in dealing with people.
After reading online articles for so many years, I feel that many protagonists are inexplicably tied to a system in the first chapter, but this one is really wonderful. From the "Beidou appears in daylight" of the old Riddler to the actual appearance of the coming-of-age ceremony, it is gradually integrated into the plot without realizing it.
I couldn't stand it anymore. I actually cried when I saw Mei Duo offline. I saw many people in their village died in the line of duty, uniting like a sect to resist foreign enemies. But I didn't expect that Mei Duo would disappear like this. He was such a charming person.
The author's words are very powerful and can make people feel immersed in the story, as if they are experiencing their emotions together with the characters. In particular, the inner portrayal of the characters is very good, making each character vivid and three-dimensional, with flesh and blood.
