The protagonist of the story, Su Lin, was originally a top female sommelier with a promising future. She was burdened with huge debts due to the bankruptcy of her family restaurant. She had no choice but to be admitted to a state-owned unit with a rigorous style and complicated relationships. In this completely unfamiliar "official" environment, Su Lin was out of place and was regarded as a "vase" with no background and no rules. However, she soon discovered that her years of wine tasting skills - judging the vintage, origin, potential and flaws of wine by observing the color, smelling the aroma and tasting the taste - could be perfectly applied to "tasting" people's hearts and workplace relationships.
