A Job Offer Arrives from the Heavens After I Lie Flat

After bombing my nth autumn recruitment interview, I joined a high-paying dream company and raised myself into the final BOSS

After failing the autumn recruitment drive for the nth time, I received an offer that turned everything I knew on its head:

Linshu Group, general administrative position, a monthly salary of 5,000 yuan, a room at a downtown hotel, and unlimited daily fieldwork subsidies.

The company elevator was hidden in a wall in the parking garage. My coworkers calmly discussed “abnormal fluctuations,” while my job was to:

1. Count the osmanthus trees in the park, subsidy: 5,000 yuan.

2. Keep records of the people in the library, subsidy: 1,000 yuan.

3. Document abnormal phenomena in general, subsidy: 50,000 yuan.

4. …

My friends all thought I was just an ordinary temp clerk. I thought so too.

Until the anomalies around me began imitating humans by hugging me;

Until my shadow bodyguard began growing the face I liked;

Until my bank balance started climbing by tens of thousands every day.

My boss said, “Your affinity with anomalies is why we hired you.”
