In the winter of 1964, far away in Eastern Siberia, deep in the vast sea and snowfields.
Suddenly, a figure staggered out of the dense forest - a half-naked, disheveled man with frightened eyes and shouted hoarsely in Russian:
"Help! Help!"
The lumberjack was returning from patrolling the mountain. He suddenly saw this scene and almost thought it was a mountain ghost appearing.
The man's body was covered with frost, and the soles of his feet were stained with blood, dragging winding red lines on the snow.
Behind him, there were noisy shouts from a distance, mixed with the cries of nine women in Japanese and Russian:
"Husband, don't leave us!"
"The child is still young, where are you going?"
"Ivanov! Come back! We can't live without you!"
The voice echoed in the valley, shrill and stubborn, as if it came from another world.
Time goes back to nineteen years ago - August 1945... The smoke of World War II has not dissipated, and the Far East is still filled with the embers of war.
A soldier escorted thirty-one Japanese female prisoners of war on the steep mountain road leading to the Siberian labor camp and on the vast sea and snowy plains.
They were nurses, translators and logistics soldiers of the Japanese Kwantung Army.
The young soldier Ivanov clutched his rifle tightly with a stern look on his face.
This was his first escort mission, and he thought it was just a routine matter.
However, the moment they strayed into the minefield, everyone's fate was completely changed...

This is a true story that I have searched online before. The story takes place in Far Eastern Siberia. A former Soviet soldier accidentally entered a minefield while escorting a group of Japanese female prisoners of war to a labor camp. Nine female prisoners were lucky to survive. The soldiers became evil and took the female prisoners into the virgin forest, where they lived for nineteen years. Nearly seventy children were born.
It's very beautiful, and fully demonstrates the weakness of human nature and the cruelty of nature.
The content of the novel is ups and downs and fascinating, the sentences are fluent, and the lines are full of the author's unpredictable writing skills. [Like] [Like] [Like] A very good masterpiece, well worth reading by friends who love novels. This event should have really happened in history, but the author has further processed it.
This novel is very complete, the story is gripping, the characters are vivid, and the writing is very comfortable. I am very satisfied after reading it. The characters have warmth, the text has texture, and the whole thing is very spiritual. The emotions are in place, and it is a very mature and interesting piece of writing.
This is a very good subject and very telling. The author has great writing skills. The scene description and rendering are in place. Unfortunately the character dialogue is too written and lacks personality. All dialogue feels the same. It's a pity. No wonder it only scores 7.5.
