In the troubled times of the Republic of China, the national industry was struggling. Industrialist Zhou Yuanting built a steel and military industry in the hinterland of Jiangnan, using machines as blades and industry as shield, vowing to support the backbone of national industry when the mountains and rivers were broken. However, the Nanjing government's power covetousness, resource monopoly and military suppression by foreign forces followed one after another. From the desperate resistance to protect factory rights, to the difficult improvement of the industrial system; from the intrigues of secret wars with spies, to the head-to-head confrontations in the flames of war, Zhou Yuanting led tens of thousands of workers and escorts to resist powerful enemies with their flesh and blood, and against the torrent of the times with their iron will. When the Nanjing government army's siege was intertwined with the Japanese artillery fire, when personal ideals were closely linked to the fate of the nation, they held on amidst the artillery fire, broke out in desperate situations, and used their sincerity to save the country through industry to compose a heroic song about perseverance, resistance and hope on the land of Jiangnan.
