The little girl was named Zhizhi. Though only three years old, she had an unusual hobby: farming.
While other children were still learning to walk and talk,
Zhizhi was already wobbling into the fields, swinging a little hoe longer than her own arm.
The rice she planted grew heavy, full ears, yielding several times more than ordinary rice. Under her careful tending, the wheat even produced two harvests a year, its golden waves rolling in the breeze.
The villagers treated Zhizhi like a goddess of grain. Every harvest season, they would worship her devoutly and pray for an abundant harvest the following year.
