At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the world was in chaos, and natural and man-made disasters came one after another. Xia Qinggui was born in a remote mountain village. His parents died when he was young, and he was raised by his neighbors. He was often bullied because of his humble background, but he had a strong character that refused to admit defeat. When he was fifteen years old, in order to save his neighbors who were abducted by bandits, he accidentally went into the mountains to meet a hidden master, and acquired extraordinary martial arts and business acumen.
After coming down from the mountain, Xia Qinggui started out as a street vendor. With integrity and courage, he cut through the waves in the troubled business world - traveling to the north of the desert to collect furs, crossing the Yangtze River to sell tea, going to the beach in Shanghai to compete with foreign businessmen, and going to the southwest to open mines and build factories. Not only did he have to deal with the overt and covert attacks of his peers and the plundering of warlords, but he also had to make choices in the face of the righteousness of his family and country: after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he spent all his wealth to support the front line, organized a caravan to transport strategic materials, used business as a blade and righteousness as a shield, and held up a world in troubled times.
