This book is really well written - the atmosphere is accurately captured: "folk taboos passed down by word of mouth" are used as an introduction, such as not being able to answer the phone late at night, and old objects hiding strange things. These are all "old things" that we have heard in our lives. It is easy to substitute the feeling of "knowing it is fake but getting chills on the back".
