The New My Fair Princess: Xiaoyanzi Is a Princess

Tags: My Fair Princess fan fiction | Everyone dotes on her, no angst | Multiple male leads, no fixed couple | Original plot that breaks the mold

After an accident, Xiao Yanzi wanders into the palace and mistakenly claims the imperial favor that should have belonged to Ziwei. Faced with the easily won title of princess and the Emperor’s warmth, she refuses to deceive anyone or take another’s place. She openly declares that Ziwei is the rightful one and wants only to return to a free and untroubled life. Her forthright nature deeply moves and touches Qianlong.

This story opens an entirely new, standalone plotline, neither a rebirth story nor a continuation of the original. Xiao Yanzi gives up a life of luxury and ease, choosing freedom instead, and escapes the angsty entanglements common to fan fiction. Qianlong, Yongqi, Ertai, and Benjamin are all steadfast in their feelings, offering unconditional affection and protection without betrayal or romantic games.

Though she seems lively and carefree, she is actually a royal descendant who grew up among ordinary people, clever and full of life. The story includes a plotline in which Xiao Yanzi ascends the throne, but becoming emperor is only one stage of her life, not its destination, in keeping with the title. There is no single fixed male lead. All four male leads are devoted to her, though only one has an exclusive solo bonus chapter. The mystery is waiting to be unveiled.
