Bright and resilient Yu Zhen × devoted puppy-like Wen Tingjun
[Second chances at love + healing + bittersweet romance + a little push and pull]
Five years ago, on the day Wen Tingjun transferred to her school, Yu Zhen was the first person to walk up to him.
She was bright and bold, like a summer breeze, while all he gave her was a quiet “Mm.”
During their days as deskmates, they passed notes inside their workbooks, walked side by side on their way home, and quietly learned to fall for each other in all the silences neither of them dared to fill.
Then the Yu family suddenly went bankrupt, and Yu Zhen went from a dazzling heiress to a young woman with nothing.
She left without saying goodbye, leaving behind an empty seat and a number that would never go through again. She vanished completely, as if she had never been there.
Five years later, she returned to Rongcheng.
He had become a promising young talent in everyone’s eyes, while she was just an ordinary person trying to live carefully.
He pressed her at every turn, trying to pry open the past she had sealed away.
She kept retreating, wanting only to hide that bittersweet youth, and herself along with it, deep in her memories.
As the truth slowly came to light and old wounds were reopened, they finally realized
Neither of them had ever truly moved on.
The story is smooth, the characters are very delicately drawn, and the subject matter is the kind I like to read. Anyway, pretty good.
