After Burning Myself to Save the World, They All Became Demons

Nan Ningchu was born a “jinx.”

At seven, her mother carved out her heart to turn it into ice for her; her father fell into demonic corruption and vanished.

She thought she was destined to spend her life atoning for her sins in solitude and under pursuit, until the sick child she'd casually saved shed his disguise and revealed the fangs of the Demon Lord who would destroy the world. A chain called the “Twin Calamity” locked itself around her fate.

From then on, saving one life cost her another. Each time she used her Moonlight Spirit Body to cleanse demonic energy, she lost one of her senses and slipped another step toward an inhuman abyss.

But the people were weeping and demonic flames were spreading. She had no choice.

Until the day the fires of the underworld devoured the heavens. She sacrificed her body to the heavens, burning away all five senses, and scattered like frost beneath a sky of stars and fire.

She thought, at last, this lonely moon had found its home.

But she never knew...

The moment her figure disappeared, the most powerful people in the world, whom she had once illuminated and who had once betrayed her deep devotion, turned back as one amid the blood-red light. The last light in their eyes went out.

Later, an even more terrifying legend spread throughout the Three Realms: after the bright moon that gave her life to mend the heavens fell, everyone left behind by her... became demons for her sake.
