Taking an IPO Public in the Immortal Realm

Others cultivate immortality through talent. I do it through KPI assessments.

Others rely on magic treasures to survive tribulations. I use SWOT analysis.

Shen Yuan, a burned-out office worker, transmigrates into the cultivation world as its most miserable menial servant. He counters with the OKR Management Method and the Law and Order System. Three years later, he sits on the board of the Lingxiao Palace, reporting to the Jade Emperor in Excel and pitching the “New Immortal Realm IPO Plan” to the gods and Buddhas of the heavens in PowerPoint.

But he soon discovers that this immortal realm is nothing more than a “test server” run by a higher civilization. The so-called Heavenly Dao is merely modifiable code, and the “board of directors” that rules the Three Realms was brutally purged five hundred thousand years ago.

The newly appointed director, Shen Yuan, opens the “Three Realms: A Hundred-Year Development Plan.” Its first KPI makes every god and Buddha in the room tremble: “Acquire this server within a hundred years and make the ‘shareholders’ work for us.”

“The version’s been updated.” He adjusts his gold-rimmed glasses and smiles at the ancient beings. “This time, the winners rewrite the rules, and I’m best at making rules.”
