The supernatural has revived, and the rules have descended. Humanity is forced into one deadly game after another. The losers turn to dust, while the winners cling to life. While everyone else desperately tries to adapt to the rules and use them to their advantage, Chen Mo discovers to his astonishment that he seems to... stand above every rule. The rules say not to look back, but he does, and the ghosts ignore him. The rules demand a sacrifice, but he refuses, and emerges unscathed. And so a BUG, one that makes all ghosts and players tremble, is born.
