Siheyuan: Starting by Pretending to Be a Soviet Academician Returning Home

No female lead, and plenty of beast-bashing. The rating will go up once the book gets some reviews. Some readers have left low ratings because there aren't many chapters yet and a lot of the foreshadowing and plot hasn't been revealed. Give it a chance and read a little more.

Transmigrating to 1962, Su Chen activated the Super Industrial System and received a top-secret identity as a returning academician from the start!

A tenured professor at Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, a foreign academician of the Soviet Academy of Sciences...

A series of forged yet flawless files led senior Industrial Ministry officials to greet him in person. A Hongqi limousine escorted him, and he could take all the special-supply goods he wanted!

After moving into the courtyard, Su Chen looked at the beasts filling it and smiled.

Yi Zhonghai wanted to blackmail him with moral pressure?

Su Chen: “I'm on a top-secret national mission. You dare interfere with my work? Guards, arrest him!”

Qin Huairu wanted to leech off him with seduction?

Su Chen: “Sabotaging national industrial development and corrupting senior officials? Send her to the great northwest to eat sand!”

Silly Zhu wanted to use force?

Su Chen: “Want to compete at cooking? My Tan family cuisine is more authentic than yours! Want to fight? I've got a gun!”

While the beasts were still scheming over a few pounds of cornmeal and nearly tearing one another apart, Su Chen was already building precision machine tools by hand and developing the oxygen top-blown converter, putting the country's industrial development thirty years ahead of schedule!

Then one day, a Soviet delegation came to visit. Seeing the high-tech marvels Su Chen showed them, they cried out, “Is this really what we taught you?!”

Su Chen: “That's right. This is the power of science!”
