The Secret Tomb of Xuanbo: A Thousand-Year-Old Curse Seal in a Xiangxi Gu Tomb

Shen Yan, a modern-day antique shop owner, inherited a family tomb-raiding notebook and can decipher tomb mechanisms and sense unusual energies. By chance, he discovers that his grandfather's notes mention a thousand-year-old Gu tomb in western Hunan containing a mysterious silk text. A misunderstanding brings him together with Su Qingyue, a top archaeology student. The tomb holds not only zombies and ingenious mechanisms, but also the secret of immortality behind the silk text, coveted by Xiao Zhan, leader of the mysterious organization Shadow Pavilion. Shen Yan uses the notebook to overcome one crisis after another, while Su Qingyue uses her archaeological expertise to interpret clues in ancient writing. The two go from distrust to trust. Along the way, they uncover an old feud between Xiao Zhan and an elder of the Shen family, as well as a Republican-era story linked to the silk text. The team grows through solving Gu magic traps and fighting off Shadow Pavilion pursuers, until a reversal awaits them in the tomb's central chamber: the silk text is not a treasure of immortality, but a seal imprisoning an ancient evil. Together, they must decide whether to maintain the seal.
