Synopsis of Space Fortress: Prehistoric Energy Awakens
Ancient energy awakens on Earth, and the galaxy's two great enemies come running at the news.
In 1999, the ASS-1 warship, carrying an ancient energy core, crashed on Earth. Unaware of it, humanity took up the forbidden spark left behind by an ancient civilization. Ten years later, the SDF-1 space fortress took off on its test flight, accidentally activating its onboard defense system. Its runaway main cannon blazed like a beacon in space, announcing to the entire galaxy that prehistoric energy had awakened on Earth.
The hunt began at once:
The Zentraedi giant army came to seize the energy, its thirty-thousand-year pursuit now an instinct of its species. The robot rulers came to destroy it, bound by their eternal directive to eliminate every civilization that had come into contact with the forbidden power. Humanity was forced to struggle for survival between two tides of destruction.
When the SDF-1, carrying sixty thousand civilians, initiated a space fold to flee the Solar System, escape meant war, and every jump was a gamble. The young people aboard the fortress were thrust to the front lines of fate:
· Rick Carter grows from a stunt pilot into a warrior who commands the VF-1
· Lisa Hayes takes command of humanity's last moving home in the face of despair
· Lin Minmei's singing voice mysteriously resonates with the energy core
· Captain Glover bears the hopes of an entire civilization's survival
This is an interstellar exodus with no rear guard and no end. Every fold jump accelerates the energy core's awakening, and every glimmer of its growing light brings an even more ferocious hunt. From the edge of the Solar System to the galactic wastelands, humanity must face not only the siege of two alien civilizations, but also the ultimate question posed by the ancient energy: is it a blessing or a curse?
