My Clan Was Wiped Out from the Start, So I’ll Trample the Heavens

Lin Feng, a boy from a remote border town, loses his family after they are framed by their sworn enemy. At the brink of despair, he encounters the dying guide Zhao, who passes on the Ingesting Spirit Source Flame, but also puts him at risk of being possessed. Thanks to his unyielding will, Lin Feng turns the tables and kills Zhao, setting out on a path of revenge. Along the way, he meets the aloof young woman Ling Suxue for the first time while competing for a spirit herb. They leave each other with wary impressions. At the ruins of his family home, Lin Feng faces his enemy and reveals the power of his Flame-Splitting, Wave-Devouring Ruler. He kills his foe, settles the score, and decides to leave town for a wider world. After joining an interstellar sect, he discovers that an ancient Ascension Ruin is actually a trap and glimpses part of the truth about the world. The cycle of reincarnation is broken, and a new era begins. Lin Feng and Ling Suxue become guardians of the new order. Together with their brothers and companions, they roam freely above the starry firmament and attain true Great Freedom. The story ends in peace and hope.
