In Zhongdu, a mirrorlike city perfectly governed by the AI “Tianqiong,” top memory-restoration specialist Ling Chen wakes from an “accident” with all his personal memories gone. He is told that his job is to repair other people's shattered memories, but discovers that he cannot access the most important file: his own. A fragment of memory keeps returning, filled with desperate cries, and leads him to a mysterious girl. To recover his identity, Ling Chen must infiltrate the deepest levels of the city's memory database and navigate a labyrinth made of data and lies. He gradually realizes that he may have lost more than his memories, and that what he needs to recover may be a terrible truth capable of overturning this perfect city.
