After waking up, urban career woman Zhu Yue finds herself as Zhu Yingtai’s younger sister, Zhu Yingyue. She opens her eyes to a nightmare from the start: she was knocked out for trying to stop her older sister’s “heroic deed,” and wakes up to find herself in the middle of the ensuing mess.
As someone who has transmigrated and knows the plot, Zhu Yingyue quickly adjusts her goals. Main quest: get an up-close look at the iconic moments of “The Butterfly Lovers” and immerse herself in an epic romance. Side quest: protect the peerless good looks of Ma Wencai, played by Chen Guanlin, her childhood heartthrob!
And so, Nishan Academy gains a “clear-headed observer.” When Zhu Yingtai and Ma Wencai argue, she mutters from the sidelines, “Sis, your moral standards are a little too high to be realistic.” When Ma Wencai gives in to his obsession, she hands him a cup of tea. “Young Master Ma, if you can’t have something, destroying it is the worst bargain you could make.”
She thinks she’s just here to fangirl, and maybe watch from the comments section. But little by little, she realizes that the haughty, domineering Young Master Ma is looking at her in a very “different” way. He stops obsessively chasing Zhu Yingtai and starts blocking her path instead. “Zhu Yingyue, why do you keep sneaking looks at me?”
Zhu Yingyue’s inner thoughts: What could my motives possibly be? I just want to protect my idol’s looks, and maybe… save you, you beautiful lunatic, before you go too far down the path of being blinded by love!
P.S. Some plot points and character traits may differ from the original, and characters may be out of character. There may also be a lot of original plot elements. Writing isn’t easy, so please go easy on me!
Very good. I have read too many eccentric Ma Wencai fan stories on Tomato. This book allowed me to see a different Ma Wencai and a different time-travel heroine. It can be seen that the author's views on Zhu Yingtai are also changing. Finally, in this book, I can see a little bit of the character that Zhu Yingtai did not have in the 2007 version of Butterfly Lovers. Although the story about that troubled world is a bit idealistic, the flaws are not concealed. It is not a novice at all. It is worth reading.
It's good-looking and funny. I was just watching the fun, but I didn't expect that I would be the lively person.
