During the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Li Yan, a son from a small border town, lost his parents. He met Patriarch Bodhi by chance and learned the supreme Dharma. During the days when he was with Master Bodhi every day, he had already regarded him as his father. Unexpectedly, his senior brother Xuan Ye was capricious and harmed Bodhi. After many hardships, Li Yan finally achieved the right result and saved the freedom of Patriarch Bodhi.
