[Strong, devoted, rough-edged man VS delicate, gorgeous young lady; farming story; one-on-one romance; both leads are virgins]
[Slow-burn romance, repaying a debt of gratitude, heroine pursues hero, historical farming story]
At the urging of Wu Dazhuang and Wang Meifeng, Qi Moxiang took her grandmother and married into the Liu family in the neighboring village.
But her husband, Liu Ping, had secretly gotten a widow from their village pregnant. On their wedding day, he abandoned his family and ran away.
With nowhere else to go, Qi Moxiang had no choice but to stay at the Liu home with her grandmother.
The Liu family also had a younger son named Liu An. During the wedding procession, it was this scrawny younger brother-in-law who had nervously carried Moxiang onto the carriage.
Liu An was small and thin, nothing like his tall, strapping older brother.
After Moxiang mocked him, Liu An began training with all his might. At last, he became the sturdy man she liked.
As time went by, Liu An fell in love with the sister-in-law living next door...
The logic is clear, the writing is good, and the storyline is well controlled. It's nice to watch, but it ends too hastily. I feel like there are many more stories behind it.
As everyone said, it was pretty good, but the ending was too hasty.
The story is not long and has not many twists and turns, but it is very engaging and reads smoothly. The stories of several lovers in the book are quite touching.
