Demon Slayer: The Lone Blade of the Dark Abyss and the Butterfly’s Breath

In the abyss of darkness, the young Shen Gu Cangjie endured countless nights without daylight. All that remained of the world were cold stone walls, the smell of blood, and the blade he swung for reasons he could not understand. His only companions were two “masters”: one spoke with a voice as gentle as spring water, the other with a tone as cold as iron. He knew there were six others like him, all “vessels,” the “Seven Stars” cursed to awaken as weapons beneath the blood-red sun and moon of the Tsugikuni brothers.

After escaping the endless night, Cangjie stepped into the sunlight and shadows of the Taisho era. His only goals were to find his companions and uncover the truth about his bloodline. But fate led him to the Butterfly Mansion, where he met Shinobu Kocho. She was a gentle healer whose fingertips carried Wisteria poison, capable of healing wounds or taking lives. She was also a composed swordswoman, her gaze sharp as a butterfly’s wings. Shinobu saw the confusion and keen edge beneath his scars. His hidden resilience and strength made it impossible for her to regard him as an ordinary swordsman. She never asked about his past, instead giving him peace in her own way. Seeing the spark still burning in his eyes, she foresaw the upheaval that awaited him and his companions.

To protect the light and sever the chains of fate, Cangjie gripped his sword and stood against the abyss and the threat of Kibutsuji, with Shinobu watching over him with unwavering resolve. Through trials of blood and fire, he would prove that even those born in eternal night could one day let the light of the Seven Stars tear through the darkness.
