“A truly powerful female lead who's unhinged and sweet on the surface but dark within x a scheming male lead who plans every step and controls the whole game”
[Two strong leads + redemption + wealthy family feuds + everyone pays the price]
Shen Jin is clever and beautiful.
Before the age of fifteen, she was the school's shining star, a top student who won prize after prize and was coveted by leading scholars, someone everyone envied.
After fifteen, however, her life became a story already written for her.
Her family despised her, her true love appeared, she suffered physical and emotional torment, and in the end, it was supposed to be a happy ending... She watched herself sink into the mire, get hurt, be saved, and then be abandoned, suffering without any power to fight back.
The day she left the psychiatric hospital again, she decided to tear up the script and rewrite her fate. While Shen Jin wore a mask of vulnerability, a man named Liu Zhijie appeared.
He saw through her disguise, threw her plans into chaos, and whispered in her ear, “Shh... Don't be afraid. I've got your back.”
Shen Jin smiled faintly. “From now on, I set the rules of this game.”
She looked at Liu Zhijie. “You're not worthy...”
Mini-scene:
In a hospital room, Liu Zhijie's fingertips skimmed over her right leg in a cast. His gaze was teasing. “Miss Shen, is your leg really broken?”
Shen Jin looked up, tears glistening in her eyes. “Mr. Liu, it hurts so much...”
The next moment, she playfully hooked a finger beneath his chin, her smile alluring. “But I still have enough strength to pinch your face.”
Liu Zhijie caught her mischievous hand and chuckled. “Looks like I've underestimated my little cat.”
Shen Jin: ... I can't out-flirt him.
