After My Engagement Was Broken Off, I Took My Brother to the Countryside and Accidentally Caught the Strict Commander’s Eye

(1970s setting + authentic rural life and farming + ensemble cast + raising kids + pocket dimension) Agricultural science PhD Jiang Xia transmigrates and opens her eyes to find her engagement called off. Her uncle is trying to seize the family fortune? She’ll make sure his wife and children leave him. Her fiancé was two-timing her and now wants to break off the engagement? She’ll bring his whole family down! Before she and her younger brother head to the countryside, her father’s superior visits and says he has arranged for a comrade named Xu Lie to meet them at their destination. As soon as they get off the train, a tall, broad-shouldered man with a narrow waist and long legs approaches and asks if she is Jiang Xia. He says he’s Xu Lie. With Xu Lie looking after her, life in the countryside is not as harsh as she imagined. Farming, doing research, and enjoying peaceful, comfortable days, the two gradually develop feelings for each other. Then one day, two figures come running up. “Wait! Comrade Jiang Xia! I’m the real Xu Lie!” “Comrade Xu Lie, she’s the Jiang Xia you were supposed to meet!” In her previous life, Jiang Xia’s family fell on hard times, forcing her to go to the countryside. Because she was close to her elder brother’s comrade Xu Lie, she was envied and framed, and lost her life. After her death, she saw a newspaper article about research into crops. The female scientist’s name sounded exactly like hers, and she too had been a sent-down youth, living only one county away! She was resentful. She was filled with hate! When she opened her eyes again, she had returned to the days before she went to the countryside.
