And So, I Became the Witch's Cat

Bai Xiao, an ordinary male college student, suffers one devastating blow after another in a single day. Utterly despairing, he prepares to throw himself into traffic and leave his fate to chance. But then he saves a stray cat he'd once fed. The kitten's fervent wish reaches the Wish Witch, Duolim. With the kitten's consent, Duolim uses a Fusion Card to merge the two into a new life.

"But what meaning is there in living in this world now? I've lost everything."

"No, you also got an IOU from the witch Duolim."

It turns out Duolim doesn't help people for free.

"Then I might as well die."

"Actually, you could give yourself to me."

"What do you mean?" Bai Xiao is a little bewildered. Is she talking about his body, his soul, or his organs?

"Would you be willing to become my cat?" Duolim asks him.

And so Bai Xiao becomes the witch's cat.

"Since you're so tiny now, and a catgirl to boot, I'll give you a new name. I'll call you Kitten!"

"?"

"I get it. You probably don't think that's witchy enough, so I'll pick something more exotic: Litelu Kate!"

Whatever the case, his new life has begun.
