"History is alive and it's hungry."
In this world, history is no longer a static text, but an "entity" that is constantly creeping and swallowing reality. Antiques are the excrement of history, and relics are the wounds of history.
The protagonist Shen Ji, as a cultural relic restorer with "obsessive-compulsive disorder", his job is not to glue porcelain, but to "repair" those distorted and mutated historical fragments back to their original appearance - even if that means using a scalpel to remove excess "historical accretion tissue".
The timeline is shattered. When you walk out of your house, turn left and you may enter an alley from 20 years ago; if you turn right, you may fall into the execution ground of the Ming Dynasty.
