I Asked You to Turn Around, Not Bring People to Clear My Blockage!

[Martial fantasy + infinite-loop trials + rule-based killing games + ensemble cast + no mindless power fantasy + scheming, trope-subverting hero + themed pocket worlds]

Unemployed wage slave Mu Chen's life rules:

The later the night, the wilder you get. The more forbidden the fun, the better.

Rules are there to test your limits. Teammates are there to take the fall for you.

Never trust a warning that says "Do Not Look Back"... unless there's really something behind you.

"Kid, you're walking too slowly."

A forbidden alley and a mysterious phone call drag Mu Chen, who only wanted to grab some barbecue skewers, into the deadly trials of the "Dream Library."

The rule-based killing games come one after another, every teammate has their own agenda, and even the pretty policewoman is hiding secrets.

As everyone gets caught up in a deadly game between the "Fallen" and the "Redeemed," Mu Chen unlocks a third faction: the "Defenders of the Way." He forms a life-and-death bond with a beautiful teammate.

Others rely on brute force to survive. Mu Chen stays alive with wild ideas: "The rules say not to make a lot of noise. So it should be fine if I'm quiet, right?"

From the Do Not Look Back Alley to the castle on Resurrection Island, Mu Chen discovers that the end of this eternal night holds not only endless danger, but also the secret to eternal life.

"So, want to brave it together? After all, in the eternal night, staying alive is the greatest thrill."
