Lin Fan transmigrates to Douluo Dalu, and from the start he’s in hell: a three-year-old child dropped into the heart of the Far North, about to freeze to death in the blizzard.
At his darkest hour, the Snow Empress, ruler of the Far North, takes him home. The Ice Empress arrives ready to kill, loathing all humans, but senses a kinship with him. Her attitude shifts from wanting him dead to becoming... incredibly awkward around him.
Lin Fan soon discovers that his Martial Soul is beyond anything he could have imagined. It isn’t a single Martial Soul, but the supreme dual origin of ice and fire: the Origin Ice Dragon and the Origin Fire Dragon! From then on, the Far North takes a very different turn.
He is the “young lord” tolerated by the Snow Empress, the “troublesome Little Monster” according to the Ice Empress, and a special passenger on the back of Ice Bear King Xiaobai. When various factions try to recruit him, he puts on an “innocent” face. “I just want my Soul Beast friends to live better lives.”
Then his twin dragon Martial Souls appear together, sweeping the world in ice and fire, and all are left stunned!
The gods are enraged and unleash divine punishment.
Lin Fan rises into the sky, with a vast Soul Beast army and a host of followers behind him. He smiles at the Ice and Snow Empresses, Silver Dragon King Gu Yuena, Emperor Auspicious Beast, and all the other partners and admirers standing ready behind him.
“Relax. We’re just going to... kick down the gates of the Divine Realm today and get a new batch of gods to take those seats.”
Key elements: decisive in battle + loyal to those he loves + a scheming prankster + multiple female leads + seizing opportunities + Soul Beast faction + war against the gods
The main appeal: the extraordinary concept of twin origin dragons of ice and fire, and a path utterly unlike that of the original protagonists. He stirs up trouble and shows off as he leads the Soul Beasts to rise, ultimately breaking the Divine Realm’s shackles!
