One fateful encounter, and young, powerful Lu Chenzhou falls for Lin Ning, a farmer’s daughter who is already engaged. She avoids him like the plague, but he lays a trap she can’t escape, resorting to force if he must, determined to pull this delicate flower into his arms.
Everyone marvels at Lin Ning’s rise from humble roots, unaware that on their wedding night she lays down three rules: “We may be husband and wife in name, but we won’t share a bed.” Lu Chenzhou agrees with a cold laugh.
Lin Ning thinks she’ll spend the rest of her life pretending to be in love with him.
Until she watches him die trying to save her, offering her his heart and begging her to marry him in their next life.
Lin Ning’s heart finally softens, but it’s too late.
Reborn, Lu Chenzhou sneaks into her room and corners her against the wall, coaxing her.
“Sweetheart, marry me. I’ll never let you suffer.”
He expects a cold refusal.
He never imagined he’d hear, “I will!”
“Thank goodness you said yes. May we grow old together, and may I never fail you in this life or any other!”
It's nice to look at. I like the setting very much.
I think it's good, short and concise. However, due to the short length, the ending is bound to be a bit rushed.
