Dragon City, in 2249 AD, this future city built of steel and holographic light and shadow is experiencing an unprecedented rainy night. From the thousand-meter-high spiral spire of the Sky Group to the dark and damp underground tunnels of the slums, every corner of the city is shrouded in a heavy curtain of rain. The dense neon lights reflect blurred colors in the rain, like a huge fishing net, wrapping the entire city. On the elevated track, the driverless suspended train shuttles at high speed, cutting through the night sky and leaving a brief blue light trail. In the sky is the buzzing of logistics drones, and on the ground is the subtle sound of mechanical prosthetics rubbing against slippery roads. All of these together constitute a unique cyber symphony in the lower-level area of Dragon City.
In this cold jungle made of countless reinforced concrete and electronic components, Lin Yuan's Qingxuan Temple seemed out of place. It is located in the gap between the bottom area and the middle area, squeezed out of shape by the skyscrapers rising on both sides. It is like a forgotten piece of rotten wood, lonely and embedded in the texture of future technology. Under the mottled green tile eaves, the cornices and brackets have been eroded to pieces by the rain, and the few vermilion plaques that were barely hanging have faded to the point of being blurry. Only the three words "Qingxuan Temple" carved on the plaques can still vaguely show the solemnity of the past.
