After transmigrating to the disaster-stricken Hongwu era, Ye Bufan becomes a minor county magistrate in Fengyang and binds himself to the Nine-to-Five System. Every clock-in earns him an incredible reward. While corpses litter the land and desperate families resort to eating their own children, the people under his rule enjoy meat at every meal, grow a thousand jin of sweet potatoes per mu, and wield rapid-firing muskets to rout their foes. Zhu Yuanzhang, traveling incognito, witnesses these miracles and is astounded: “Such a genius must become the Imperial Preceptor!” From then on, Ye Bufan leaves slacking off behind, wielding the System to sweep through the imperial court. Ruthless and decisive, with beautiful women by his side, he forges a legendary Hongwu-era golden age!
