On the eve of the 2025 Macau Financial Summit, an unsolved robbery puts the police under immense pressure. They have no choice but to bring retired veteran detective Huang Dezhong back into service, despite his old grudge with young policewoman He Qiuguo.
Their adversary is a family-run criminal gang led by “Shadow” Fu Longsheng, a retired international serviceman. His six sons and one daughter each have their own special skills, hiding in an orphanage while plotting an even bigger crime during the summit.
As the investigation unfolds, Huang Dezhong's traditional methods clash with the AI technology favored by the police department. The key to the case unexpectedly lies in an online chat involving his youngest daughter, Lin Xi. The hacker Xitai she befriended turns out to be the long-lost triplet brother of Xiwang and Ximeng, two core members of the gang.
Ximeng's discovery creates the first crack in this secretive family, while Huang Dezhong must settle his differences with He Qiuguo before the summit countdown runs out and find a way to combine old and new investigative methods. With all these shadows converging on Macau, he has to stop a crisis that could engulf the entire city.
