Chen Lei Teaches You How to Make a Fortune in Stocks

Why did you enter the stock market? Did you hear people around you say they made a fortune trading stocks and want to follow their lead and get a share? Do you think you're exceptionally clever and can easily achieve financial freedom through the stock market? Or are you simply looking for a side job to earn extra income and improve your life? Whatever your reason, I understand. More than twenty years ago, like most of you, I plunged headfirst into this market, which seemed full of opportunities but was actually riddled with traps, carrying a bit of hope, a bit of wishful thinking, and even a bit of greed.

Today, I don't want to talk about obscure candlestick theories or discuss arcane trading strategies. I just want to speak frankly with you about why each of us first entered the market, what tests of human nature lie behind that initial motivation, and how we can hold on to our principles in this unpredictable gamble and avoid stepping into an abyss from which there's no return. I've always believed that stock trading is never simply a contest of technical skill. It's a contest of human nature, and that contest begins with why we entered the market in the first place.
